Blooming Time

| Hi, I recently just purchased my first Hibiscous and all of the buds fell of in one or two days. After 2 weeks I had 6-7 new buds. The only problem is when they open up, they only open up for one day and then close and never open again. This is a small plant (a common type I am not sure the exact name). Any ideas why this could be happening? Thanks for any help! |

| Kayte I am pretty new to them also but I do know that they only stay open for one day :-) If I am not mistaken they also like to drop buds when they are moved. Not sure on that one though. But after it will get bigger the second year, it will bloom so much that you do not even realize the blooms are only open a day. What kind of blooms does yours have? Double? single? the color? | make sure u keep it watered. and depending on the temps the hi heat will cause bud drop. and most hibiscus only stay open 1 day. some tropicals will keep for 2 but very few. |
