Blooming Time?

How long should flowers last on the plants? I picked up 4 unnamed plants for $1 each last year and they are just starting to bloom. Only problem is the two different plants, each with one large bloom open, only lasted 1 day. Is this because something so beautiful is only ment to last one day or did this heat spell we are in have something to do with it? I sure hope not. Thank God there are a lot of buds getting ready to open.

Just wish they would last a week or so.

    Are we talking tropical hibiscus? Most varieties have flowers that only last one day, a few might last two or even three days, especially if it's cloudy.
