Tropical Hibiscus growth rate

alexh1000

Hi,

Planted a few of the standard tropical Hibiscus' a couple of months ago in some well draining soil. Put down a small amount of Osmocote to insure sufficient nutrients. I have been thoroughly watering about twice a week. Plants get about 4 hours of direct sun at current height but that will improve as they get taller due to a nearby fence.

They look healthy with regular blooms but there has been very little vertical growth. I know some evergreens need to get the root system well established before taking off.

What growth rate should I expect?

Thanks
