Kopper King - Hardy Hibiscus - 3gal?

Hi all,

Just wondering if a 3-4'specimen of Kopper King hibiscus

for $14.99 is a good price at Home Depot in Leominster? It's in a 3 gallon pot, so I figure it's a few years old, right? Almost guaranteed to come back, right?.....

Sounds like a good price to me!
Your right about the age I think - it would have to be over a year old at least to be that size.
Don't know about it coming back - you might want to keep it in a pot until next spring - maybe someone with experience growing these in a climate similar to yours would know more.

Debra- get it in the ground ASAP and then mulch it this winter. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't show any growth or sign of life until late May to even mid June (depending on how what spring is like).

    Hey-
I just got mine from the Natick Home Depot for $10.99 for a huge plant--3 feet tall with many buds and branches
So, I got another one for a friend.
    Go for it!

debbieboston, if you live in Boston, you should be in zone 6, not 5.zone 5 is much west of Boston.
