Is this Hibiscus

Hi i'm glad someone directed me here from one of the other forums. Hopefully somebody will know for sure if this is a hibiscus or not, and then, what kind. This photo was taken in a garden at the New Jersey shore, which is zone 7, not the right zone for tropical hibiscus, but the color doesn't seem right for rose mallow either. The picture is rather poor but I would say in person the flower is somewhat salmon colored not pink. Someone suggested camellia, too, but others say no. Any ideas?

This very much seems to be a tropical hibiscus to me! From what I can see of the stamen and the buds - it sure appears to be hibiscus - definitely not a camelia!!
