Can you plant rose of sharon on a slope?

I was wondering if rose of sharon will grow well on a steep slope or would it be awkward?

Sure. Make a basin to catch water.

I can't think of a reason not to as they do well from your neck of the woods all the way to the Gulf Coast of Texas. We have dry hot summers and they live fine without watering in the summer weather here.
