confused on hibiscus

i HAVE 2 HIBISCUS. oNE IS SHAPED LIKE A TREE ABOUT 3 FEET TALL AND IN A POT i JUST PURCHASED ANOTHER ONE BUT THIS ONE IS BUSHY. wHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? wILL THE BUSH GROW TALL LIKE THE TREE OR STAY AS A BUSH i WANTED A PLANT THAT CAN BE POTTED AND PLACED OUTSIDE FRENCH DOORS. i HAVE A BARE WALL AND i NEEDED SOME COLOR. i LOOKED AT VINES BUT i DONT WANT ANYTHING CLIMBING ON WALLS . wILL THE HIBISCUS WORK OR WILL IT STAY BUSH LIKE

    It might become bushier if you leave it alone. Some stores say it is a tree but all they do is trim it into a tree shape. The second way it could look like a tree is by grafting it onto a tree root stock.(Example would be the rose of sharon tree offered in catalogues which is the regular rose of sharon grafted onto a tree root stock) I think the most common method would have to be grafting to get it to look like that which if that is how it was done will not become bushy. Hope this helps a little.
