Falling hibiscus buds

Hello all,

I have a hibiscus that came along with this house. For three years now, every spring it produces hundreds of buds. Then, in the summer, before any of them open, they all turn yellow and fall off. Any thoughts on what might cause this?

    Do you fertilize it? Check for any possible bugs on plants.(make sure to check everywhere) My gardening books also say it might be because of too much heat or cold. Hope this helps a little!
