I was at the lake this weekend in OK, and came across a hardy hibiscus. I didn't have my camera to take a picture. It is hardy, but the leaves were long, thin, and tri-lobed. Almost like a bird's foot. I haven't been able to find anything quite like it. It was a creamy white (not yellow) with a red eye and red brushed lightly on the backs of the base petals. I collected several seed pods off of it, but would like to know what it is that I have. This was growing down by the water near the honeyball bushes.

Does anyone have any ideas of where to start looking? I've Googled and Googled under different headings.

Thanks!

HW

try googling Texas Star hibiscus, and see if that is it.
