Deadheading

We had a wonderful season our first year filled with large blossums. Now all that is left are sead pods. Should we be cutting off those pods to propogate new growth during the season? It's a shame that it is so early and no more blooms. Please advise... thanks!

I cut my seed pods off to put plant energy back into the root for storage.

Deadheading will also, to a certain extant, encourage more blooming. So cut those seed pods off, you may get one more flush.
