Hibiscus pollenation

I'm posting this to find out of anyone can confirm what I think I've learned about the Hibiscus and getting the pods full of seeds. If I have a indoor Hibiscus, the it flowers, I need to take the pollen from the flower or another flower and brush the yellow pollen from the flower (stamen) to the stigmas (pads) on the same flower or other flower in order for the pods to produce seeds? Is this correct?

You need two plants. Take a bloom from one, rub the pollen from that one onto the stigmas of the other plants bloom.
Using one plant won't work with plants that don't self-pollinate.

Okay, I found this exerpt from the below URL.....under pollination....opinion?

Pollination is the transfer of pollen from an anther to a stigma. In nature this happens frequently with species Hibiscus, either from the same flower - self-pollination or with two separate plants involved - cross-pollination.
