? regarding 2 different flowers on 1 rose of sharon

i bought a blue satin 2 years ago for 2 years it has had the most beautiful blue flowers ... well this year i got the lovely blue satin flowers & bright pink flowers on th same stem. has this happened to anyone else?

    Mine were blue at the start of the summer and then turned bright pink. I wondered if it was because of the acidity of the surrounding soil after I fertilized. Anyone know+
