Single-Red-ROS

Dustin Rae

Hello all,

I have been looking for a true red, single flower ROS.

Unfortunately I'm starting to believe true red, and or single doesn't exist.

If anyone has one or has bred one, or knows where to find one I would appreciate it :-)

Well I finally found a "true red" or so the picture goes... nothing more is known at this time.

The flower is a double but it will give me a new project to work on creating a really nice single if this is not a doctored photo?

    :-)

Given that A) it's a horrible picture lacking detail
    B) reviews for Direct Gardening are more than 66% negative reviews....

    Your conclusion should be forgone.

These are also sold on ebay with detailed photos with 27 excellent reviews from the people who bought them.

However the leaves on their photos look like double tropical being sold as ROS?

I think I have the one in this ebay listing. You can see my picture here

I bought from Walmart, and the tag says Hibiscus Red.

Hi Kachana, the link takes me to a login but no photo. Do you know if the one you have is a true rose of Sharon as in the winter hardy variety or do you have the tropical red double rosa-sinensis?

    OOPs..The new link is Here

I don't know much (actually, anything LOL) about ROS or hibiscus, but the tag says tropical plant.

If you actually found a true red, I'd want it too :)
