| It's just called a "double orange" as far as I know. It's tropical, so it will have to be brought inside in the winter. Margaret, tropicals don't have seeds. |

| Hi Margaret, Possibly Crown Of Warringah? Species of the Tropicals and some early hybrids and a few modern day hybrids do set seed alone, but with general modern day tropicals, they need to be hand pollinated 'when the conditions are right'(a subject in itself). To qualify that, about 60% of singles do set seed easily when they are ready and pollen is viable, about 20% can be hard to set seed and about 20% never seem to most of us. Most doubles will not set seed, but a few do. Some of the doubles that change to be singles as weather cools do set seed. Don't give up on seed, but don't expect your double to co-operate by itself. Try Pride of Hankins as a double that self sets seed. Good luck. |
