I recently moved but brought a bunch of seeds from my beautiful dinnerplate hibiscus plant. How can I grow it from seed?

    nanaclaire,

I would suggest that you start them indoors since winter is coming on, then transplant them in the spring. If you wait until Jan or Feb to start them you won't have to worry with the watering, fertilizing, and associated problems (taking up space) with long term over wintering of plants.

I soak mine in warm water overnight and then plant them in jiffy pellets about 1/4 inch deep. Waiting until Jan. or Feb. is a good idea.
