Hibiscus and fertilizer

Hello all. I recently gave my hibiscus some 5-10-5 houseplant food and the leaves are now turning yellow. Is this related to the fertilizer? If so what should I do?

If 07731 is your zip code, it's probably weather related. You've had some nights down into the 40's. Older leaves on hibiscus will drop during weather changes, not that big a deal.

I don't usually fertilize this late in the season, but that's just me.
