Can hibuscus cuttings be rooted in water? anyone tried??

Can hibiscus cuttings be rooted in water? Has anyone tried this method and had success.

It is too cold to pot the cuttings outside now.

I frequently root green-wood cuttings of tropical Hibiscus in water,
I'll include a link below that explains it better than I could,
and has photos as well. ;^)
