Can I transplant my 1ft tall hisbiscus in the fall???

Hello dear friends.

I bought a foot tall Hisbiscuc this Spring , planted it and bloomed nicely now. However, being new and dumb to this plant i realized that I planted it, in a small garden bed and these tend to grow quite large (white flower w.red in the center).

So my question is , seeing it's fall now in Zone 4 (Toronto) can i dig it out and move it to another location. Our weather here has been terrific so far, no frost yet and/or very cold nights. What do you all think? Or should I leave it there till Spring. Also, should I trim back some of the dried ends?

thanks to all.

Cris

crisx, you can transplant it and also you can leave it where it is now until spring time. maybe you should leave it and I would not trim back those dried sticks. fill up space between sticks with leafs to protect the plant from freeze damage. put more leafs around the plant and those sticks will keep them in place. clean everything away in April.
