Hello...

This is my first post...please bare with me...I also am new to dealing w/flowers...

I have a hibiscus, I am almost 100% sure its a tropical...it has done wonderful since I got it in July of this year 2007...we went on vacation last week...left specific instructions w/neighbor on watering it...when I got home it has yellow spots on the leaves...still looks nice in healthy, but has the spots...

Any info would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks

Since you say the rest of the plant is fine, it may just be that the temps are getting cooler and the plants starting to wind down. Or was it perhaps watered too much? That can cause problems. If the leaves are turning yellow, but the veins are still green, that's a sign of an iron deficiency. Then it's a simple matter of adding something like ironite.
Either way, unless you start seeing other evidence of problems, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
