| I have been possibly interested in trying out rooting cuttings. I have a few hibiscuses that I can experiment with. From what I have read all it should really take is using Vermiculite, or Perlite. Do you have to using rooting hormone? Will a cutting grow roots in regular potting soil? Can any type of branch be a cutting? Any information would be helpful. |

| Most native varieties can be re-planted from cuttings using perlite. But if you are referring to hybrids of rosa-sinensis the most ideal method for clonal propagation is grafting. You will need to prepare rootstocks such as Pride of Hankins or Albo Lacinatus. If you haven't grafted before, check Wally Morgan's website on grafting hibiscus. |
