hibiscus tree

purchased a hibiscus tree (I THINK ITS A TREE),THIN strait trunk,about 5' high,dark green leaves,large red flowers.was potted and bloomed beautifully as of now. what is suggest care for winter in zone 6?

    Bring inside before freezing weather and over-winter in the most direct sun area in your home. Slow feeding thru the Nov-Mar time period. Increase it as it warms above frezing in your area and slowly transition it to being outside as temps at night start staying above 45-50 degree range. Maybe a little warmer is better but foremost be careful about giving it too much sun to soon in this transition period. Also slow your watering cycles over winter so the plant doesn't get wet feet and rot roots. Needs to dry slightly in between watering this true in summer to but even more crucial during the slower growth time of winter.
