What the heck!

So I had my hibiscus for around a year now, it took what felt like FOREVER to bloom and when it did the bloom was awesome, then now its blooming like a double, which is still awesome but the bloom wont open all the way anymore. Any comments or suggestions?

That's what I thought too. I got this one at one of the big box stores in town not bad for 15$. It has some seed pods on it now too. I hope I get seeds this time. Had some pods before but they fell off before they were ready.

I much prefer (admire) the Nov photo :) Is it normal for this sort of swing due to temperatures ?
I haven't grown any of the newer hybrids, just way back when...H rosa sinensis.
