It's that time of year in Ohio to bring in my Painted Lady Hibiscus. My concern is my two cats, are these considered poisonous to cats?

Hi Bakerml, No, I have been told that tropical hibiscus do not contain poisons and they are supposed to be edible. Never tried them, but do know that with some hibiscus they make tea, and with others jam and with others the tips are for salads.
Cheers, Brian.

Hibsicus make great tea (the flowers usually, but I believe the entire plant is edible).

I would try to keep your cats away from it, but they shoudnt have any problems with a hibsicus.
