Jackfruit tree looses its fruit

We live in the northeast corner of Hawaii Island and we have a mature jackfruit tree that bears lots of fruit all of which drop when they are small. What causes this? What can we do about it? Mahalo

What's your elevation there? I believe Jackfruit likes coastal areas best. Perhaps the fruit is dropping due to cold?
