| My Grandmother took "Wood Rose" seeds from Hawaii 42 years ago. My mother remembers that they are climbing vines. Not real roses? We are having trouble finding a picture of them. Could someone please send me one if they have it! Thank you so much and have a great day! |

Yes, they are climbing vines. In the morning glory family, with a yellow flower that does look like a morning glory. The seed pods are of a woody looking texture, and resemble the form of a rose. THe seeds are in the center. It grows rampantly, and will easily climb up trees. They are in bloom right now, on Kauai, widely scattered around the island. You should be able to see a picture by going to Google and putting in the botanical name, which is Merremia Tuberosa. Hope this helps, Aloha, Christine |
