RE: spice trees &plants in Hawaii

I grow Vanilla. Are you from around here and trying to get a hold of these? I have seen nutmeg/mace, cloves, cinnamon, and plack pepper plants for sale before and Lyon Arboretum also has a collection of spice plants and trees including mature nutmeg and clove trees. Allspice is used widely as an ornamental and is well naturalized (become weedy) in some areas. Cinnamon is also used as an ornamental and is naturalized (perhaps not the one more popular for spice). In my own garden I also have curry leaf tree plants (Murraya koenigii), I have seen them flowering and fruiting in 4"-1gal pots but I've never seen a full size specimen.
