Tahitian gardenia cuttings

Aloha! Just got back from Kona with a few Tahitian gardenia cuttings. They're small, about 5-6 inches & they do branch out. I am wondering how to start these cuttings? Should I soak them in water with a little super thrive until they root? Or should I dip in rooting hormone & put them in potting soil??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

RE: Tahitian gardenia cuttings

I have had the best luck with putting into water and let them root.
