| Apples. They are very hard to grow here, almost impossible so they are very exotic around here. A lot of the easy to grow stuff we get from Plant It Hawaii which has a lot of tropical fruit trees and their big Spring sale in in another week or so. Here's their webpage so you can see all the different fruit trees we get from them. They usually only sell wholesale but twice a year folks can buy retail from them so it is a feeding frenzy for gardeners. There is a lot of growing information for each of the tropical fruit trees on their website as well as pictures of the different fruits. Usually at the plant sales they will have a display table with samples of different fruits on it, too. The whole operation was for sale awhile back, I don't know if it has been sold or not. Anyone who wants a growing business in Hawaii might be interested in looking at them. |
