Companions for Tri-color Ti Plant

Aloha~

Just need some suggestions as to which type of plants make good companions with the tricolor ti plant in a large pot??

I found a beautiful specimen today shopping in Illinois.

Growing a Ti plant in Illinois is probably vastly different from over here but I'll try to help you out. They grow best in areas that get a lot of rain. So any companion plant would need to like lots of water. I would suggest something that stays short, since the ti will continue to grow tall and skinny.
