Growing Sugar Apple (annona squamosa)

Does anyone here grow sugar apple in Hawaii? I'm on the south of the big island, in Kau at 3,600 feet in elevation, and I'm wondering if the sugar apple will thrive where I am? The information I've read seems to be conflicting. Of course I know that cherimoya is primed for my elevation, but are all other annonas 'forbidden.' Would custard apple (annona reticulata) belong on my land?
