there is a fern in Hawaii called the a'ma o fern,anyone got some knowlege on this one?photo would be great : )

Are you sure you have the spelling correct? I did a search on line and came up with nothing. I did look on University of Hawaii's site, native hawaiian plants and found a fern named
'ama'u, Sadleria pallida. Perhaps that's the one. Lots of pictures and great info too.

Do you live on Oahu like me?

Sadleria cyatheoides ('ama'uma'u) is what you're looking for - and there are another four or five endemic Sadleria species also found on the islands. Like a miniature tree fern, but with a more rapidly colonising habit - especially forest clearings, ditches and roadsides, even fresh lava flows high up on the crater rims.
