| Bananas, guavas, loquat, and papayas are some that I would expect to find ripening/ripe at that time of year, but, to find out for sure, call the Kauai Agricultural Extension Office at 808-274-3471. They can probably list many more types and confirm the ones I listed. BTW, Be sure to schedule some time to see the Limahuli Garden on the north shore, the McBryde Garden on the south shore, and Waimea Canyon/Kokee State Park. If you've never seen the Kokee area, you won't believe the amazing sites! It's definitely a world-class destination. |
