Lei flowers

Many years ago in Kauai, some long-time residents made leis out of a flower they said lasted much longer than whatever most people made leis out of (can't remember what that one was). Would anyone know what flower that could be?

Can you be more specific? Color? Shape? Size? Fragrant?

There are LOTS of lei flowers, although the most common is probably plumeria. A number of things will last longer than plumeria, like dendrobiums, crown flower, etc. The longest lasting would be bozo (gomphrena) or seed leis. Ti leaf leis are very long-lasting too.

Take a look at the link and see if anything looks familiar.

Here is a link that might be useful: flower leis

It was probably frangipani. I can't remember color or anything else about it, it just bugged me that I couldn't remember its name. Thanks for the link!

Frangipani and plumeria are the same thing.
