| Several years ago I was visiting Hawaii and had the best tasting sweet potato. It was purple. I do not know the name of this sweet potato and I would love to grow it.
Does anyone from the Islands know the name of this sweet potato? |

| That would be Okinawan sweet potato. The leaves are used as cooked greens also. |

| Thank you Leilaniguy, now the search for a source. I know it is to late to plant this year, but hopefully I can find a source and plant some next spring. June |

| Hi Cowgirl June, Here's a source that will ship Okinawan sweet potatoes. http://www.melissas.com/catalog/index.cfm?Product_id=3335&Info=YES You might try ordering some, and then allowing one to sprout, and plant it. |
