Dose anyone know how to get 'Shampoo Ginger' in Oahu?

| When I was little I remember we use to play with this ginger and hit each other on the head before we had to go home after a long day of swimming in the river. In the ginger it has a shampoo like substance and it smells good! I wanted to know if there was anyone out there that had a root or a small plant that needed a home? Thanks, B |

| I have a plant in the ground that I can take a rhizome cutting from. I purchased my plant from the Home Depot.The flowers on this plant have just about passed their peak (they are quite large and have some dead flowers on them). |
