Maile vine - can I grow in SoCal zone10?

We attended a wedding in Hawaii and I fell in love with the fragrance of the maile leaves. Can I grow this vine in SoCal zone 10? What are its requirements? Where can I obtain this plant locally or can I order over the internet?
Your help and coments are appreciated.
Sanda

I also need some info. Iwant to plant it in La Jolla right at the coast. Can't anyone help us? Sunset WGB is of no use on this plant (Alyxia olivaeformis).

Here's the info I obtained from Marcelo over in the tropical forum:

"Frankie's nursery in Hawaii (link below) carries seeds of the maile at various quantities and their respective prices. Scroll down to maile (Alyxia olivaeformis). They also carry an astounding variety of rare tropical fruits from SE Asia and tropical America, as well as other unusual plants. Unfortunately, however, they do not mail live plants to California."

I checked out the site and seeds will be available Nov-Dec. YAY!
Thanks, Marcelo!
