Great Sadness..a adjacent neighbor's beautiful moneypod tree that graced our spot with shade and loveliness was recently removed by them. Our hope is to replace it asap with fully mature tree.

Where can I find a mature monkey pod tree on Oahu? Help Help...mahalo

RE: need large monkey pod tree

Alas, very sad. My parents, on the advice of a "tree guy" also had our beloved monkeypod killed. The "tree guy" made three grand and our neighborhood lost a treasure. We never figured ou how to replace that heirloom, planted a ficus which was a total mistake. It's gone now, too.
Try starting one from seed because they grow quickly, but most people including my parents don't have the patience. Good luck!
