Aloha!

On the mainland they have these seasonal gardens and they plant lettuce, peas, corn tomatoes and other vegetables at specific times. Has anyone noticed planting "seasons" here and had better luck planting any specific type of vegetable at any particular time of year? Have you had the best luck by planting by moon phases, rainy seasons or just whenever the mood strikes?

If I was going to plant a basic vegetable garden, when would be a good time to do it?

A hui hou,
Cathy
