Kauai visit

My family lived on Oahu from 1966 to 1974. My mother loved Hawaii because she could grow tomatoes in winter. My family will be visiting Kauai in April 2004. Can you recommend places to see gardens, nurseries, large specimens and native plants?

You should try to visit Na Aina Kai gardens in Kilauea while on island. My wife and I are volunteer docents there. Enjoy your trip.

Take a hike along the Alakai Swamp boardwalk...the native plants and birds are amazing.
