White ginger leaves turning a little brown

Ciao everyone. My neighbor here in Pennsylvania is a Chinese-Hawaiian native to Kaneohe. She returned to Hawaii in the summer for her mother funeral. She brought back with her some of the various hawaiian flowers that I requested knowing I grow so many plants. She brought a small package of the Hawaiian white ginger. I planted it and keep it inside in a bright window, not full sun. It has already grown from a little root to about a foot tall beautiful green leaves. I noticed a couple days ago, the ends are turning a little brown and wrinkling. I set a little basin of water near the plant, I figured that due to the heat being on it may be too dry for the leaves. Any suggestions? I am usually at the fig forum, but wanted to join in here too. Thanks for any imput. Ciao, Maggie

You may be right. Hard to say without more information.
