Hello,

I will be getting some Wood Rose seeds. I know its a vine and have seen pictures of it. My question is how to grow it from seed. Is there any special requirements I should know about. Thanks for the help!!!

John

RE: Wood Rose

Aloha, just saw your message - I believe you need to chip and / or soak the seeds before planting. Wood rose is a member of the morning glory family. If you don't have any luck with germinating and wish to try again, please let me know and I can send you some seed.

RE: Wood Rose

Hallo , I,m the new one in the garden. Two yrs ago one of the sisters returned from a holiday in Hawaii ,with a selection of seeds. Well as we were in the process of moving to a new convent, they were put aside . Last month I found them and potted them up in sandy compost ,watered them well and tied them up into plastic bags. Just ten minutes ago ,I popped up to our new greenhouse to check on all the plants and make sure the little electric heater was on the frost setting . The sun has been shining ,and despite the cold winds ,the greenhouse is warming up . Alleluia ! Two of the seeds have germinated ! I looked to see what they were and the label tells me they are the WOODROSE PLANT . Sister Catherine will be thrilled. I hurried in to look up more information on the net .Lots of pictures ...it is beautiful..and be used in dried flower arrangments. Then I found this site ...it took me about half an hour to register being such a noodle-head with modern technology... I,m sure you could germinate these seeds the same way on an indoors windowsill. Hope I,ve been able to help . Blessings Sister Augustine
