Sourcing grains in Central Cal

Posted by earthyworthy 9a, Cal (My Page) on

I have the same problem as Alabama. We have beef, dairy, tons of fruits and vegetables, but no grain sources that I know of; to use for grinding or sprouting. Anyone know where I can find any? Thanks

Check local health food store?

Absolutely. 2 oz. = $3.00. I would look for 1-3 lbs. at first to see how long it would be to use and go from there. (wheat berries, oat groats, etc.)

My mistake rockguy! these prices were for mung beans, alfafa and red clover seeds. I called the store and the best I can get for wheat berries are 2 lbs for $3. Much better. I never would have checked back, thanks.
