 o
sourcing local grains in Alabama

Hello gardenweb friends! I am just now starting to grind my own grains at home w/ a Wondermill grinder. Living in AL, it has been difficult to find local grains other than corn. I have spoken w/ several folks who have been grinding their own grains for years and they either buy their grain from Walton Feed out of ID or United Natural Food Co-op that delivers out of their warehouse in ATL to several co-ops around Birmingham (where I live).
Anyone have suggestions? Or know of any other co-ops or buying clubs in the area? Thanks!

My bro-in-law has a real nice little farm on Sand Mountain just outside of Ider, Al. I met the drummer from the "Alabama" band at a little store down in the valley near there once quite a few years ago. We still go there once or twice a year.......
