Do you know of these ole timey porch benches?

| When I was a little girl there was a special home I use to visit that I loved. It had a wonderful front porch with homemade benches that you could sit and bounce on. It was basically a plank that went thru cut-outs on the porch columns(?) that allowed the plank to bounce. I may have the construction part wrong. They were great fun. Does anyone remember these, what they were called and how they were made? Thanks, Lisbeth |

| Someone on the farming board identified it as a joggling board or joggling bench. That is exactly what I remember. Just wanted to share if anyone was interested. Thanks, Lisbeth |
