 o
how do I clean up the duck/chicken poopy smell?

I have 2 ducks, 32 mixed chicks including 3 roosters (all banties) - hope this doesn't get me in trouble!! (5 are banties) I was hoping for only one rooster. They are about 2 1/2 months old right now and so far the roosters are behaving.
Our chicken barn is approx 80 sq. ft and the adjoining fenced in outdoor area is 30ft x 14ft. We have coyotes & bobcats and the last time we tried totally free ranging we lost all of them.
This time we are protecting them! We have 2 large sliders to make it easier to rake up the manure but the odor is more than I thought it would be. Is there any way to lessen it in some natural manner or is this just the way it is. I am not complaining - just inquiring.

Thanks much!
Susie

Ordinary Garden lime.
Stall sweet which is zeolite another limestone product. I use that on the peeps I often have in the house from incubating eggs.
