I use to love the magazine Mother Earth, and the Farmers Almanac - also the foxfire books weren't bad. Are there any good books written by the Amish? One I read had some details about gardening, canning, plowing.These websites and books are very helpful keep them coming!!!

I read waltons homesteading site with interest, my interest peaked even more when it was suggested that those days are no more? well for the most part anyhow. I say this because I am in fact hand digging my water well just as our forefathers had done, yes its a lot of work and because I am 30 miles from town finding help is hard to find these days. I hope to be completed by the end of summer 2005.

I have been buying grains from them for home milling since 1997. Their quality & information is great.
