Hello to all, I don't usually lurk in this forum but I love the topic. I am surprised there are not more post. I know homesteading is a busy way of life, even when your just practicing as I am. Maybe thats why no one is around. Anyways, I hope everyone is happy and healthy, especially all of you in the path of those wicked hurricanes. Take care of yourselves and drop a line when you find the time. G

Well, I felt like sort of a homesteader, but with a freezer full of bison and the summer vegetables and fruits, I realize how much I do depend on using a bit of electricity. Thanks to a friend with a generator, things are OK. I guess I could use the wood stove in the summer and can everything. The weather is too damp here in Pa. to dry much.

Ivan did a lot of damage in my little town, and we are sawing up a lot of wood.
