 o
root cellar in the basement?

Our crawl space/basement is 5' and sandy soil. Does anyone have some ideas/plans of how we could build a root cellar? Size, dimensions, shelves, etc. I don't have a large garden, but would like to keep the potatoes, carrots, canning, etc. down there. We're also hoping to deepen the crawl space to put in a family room and bathroom, too. thanks.

It should be ok to put stuff there if it doesn't freeze. What kind of foundation do you have? That might affect how much you can remodel, as far ass adding a bathroom etc.
