Fair Tax Movement

I believe this grass roots movement has been around for sometime although I am just starting to investigate it,s merits. It's agenda is to completly get rid of US income tax and replace it with a sales tax on services and new purchases including food and drugs. Apparently under this plan every household would get a check each month as a rebate for what they would spend on essential items. So if you were to go and live off the land and not make a lot of major purchases, collect your rebate check each month, maybe even have a job or revenue stream, Uncle Sam would never even know or presumably care. April 15th would just be another day. The movement is apparently picking up speed. They already have a bill in congress. For an interesting read go to: http://www.fairtax.org/
