Getting rid of Lily of the Valley

I just bought a house and there are many perennials which have never been tended to in years. Someone thought one entire side of this tiny house should have lilies of the valley. I want very much to get rid of them. They have spread to the front and are very invasive. I have some afternoon sun on the side and want more variety. Any suggestions on eliminating the lillies of the valley would be very appreciated!!

Hi, how come you don't put you e-mail there for people to write you?
Lily of the valley is a nice plant contained, otherwise a night mare.
You can use Round-up, or cover it with cardboard, then mulch, anything that comes, through cover it, again. I would spray it two times,(in succession), then cover any survivors.

are bothered by mosquitoes in the summer, (and want to avoid getting West
